How Ritsbo Auto Advertising Works
A structured reference for how Ritsbo's auto advertising system launches and manages ad campaigns within a budget you control.
Overview
Auto Advertising is a Ritsbo automation that launches and manages ad campaigns on Facebook, Instagram, Google, and TikTok automatically, within a monthly budget you configure. This document explains the configuration, execution cycle, and safety mechanisms.
Configuration
Auto Advertising is configured through the AutoAdvertisingSettings entity:
| Parameter | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| enabled | boolean | Master switch for auto-advertising |
| paused | boolean | Temporarily pause without losing settings |
| monthly_budget | number (USD) | Maximum ad spend per month |
| preferred_channels | array | Facebook, Instagram, Google, TikTok |
| campaigns_per_month | number | Max campaigns to launch per month (default: 4) |
| target_audience | string | Optional audience description for AI targeting |
| service_fee_per_campaign | number | Ritsbo fee per campaign ($5–$10 range) |
Supported Channels
Auto Advertising supports four channels:
- Facebook — Meta Ads platform
- Instagram — via Meta Ads
- Google — Google Ads
- TikTok — TikTok Ads Manager
You select which channels to use via preferred_channels. The system will only launch campaigns on your selected channels.
Execution Cycle
The auto-advertising cycle runs via the runAutoAdvertisingCycle backend function on a scheduled basis. Each cycle:
- Reads your
AutoAdvertisingSettingsto check if enabled and not paused - Calculates remaining budget:
monthly_budget - spent_this_month - Checks if the maximum campaign count for the month has been reached
- If budget and campaign count allow, launches a campaign on a preferred channel
- Validates wallet/service balance via
validateAutoServiceBalance - Charges the ad spend plus the service fee per campaign
- Updates
spent_this_monthand appends tohistory - Pauses automatically when the budget is exhausted
Service Fee Structure
Unlike percentage-based ad management fees, Ritsbo charges a flat fee per campaign in the $5–$10 range, configured via service_fee_per_campaign. This means:
- You know the exact fee before each campaign launches
- The fee does not scale with your ad spend
- Large budgets do not incur proportionally larger fees
Budget Tracking
Spending is tracked through two fields:
- spent_this_month — cumulative ad spend plus service fees in the current window
- month_start — the start date of the current budget window
The system resets spent_this_month at the start of each new month.
Safety Mechanisms
- Balance validation — funds are verified before each campaign
- Monthly budget cap — total spend cannot exceed the configured budget
- Campaign count cap — limits the number of campaigns per month
- Pause feature — instantly pause without losing configuration
- History log — every campaign event is recorded with date, name, channel, spend, fee, and status
History Log
The history array records every auto-advertising event, capped at 50 entries. Each entry includes:
date— when the campaign launchedcampaign_name— the campaign namechannel— which channel was usedspend— the ad spendfee— the service fee chargedstatus— completed, failed, or skippedbilled_via— wallet or card
