E-Commerce & AI Glossary

Definitions of e-commerce, AI, and dropshipping terms used throughout the Ritsbo platform.

AI Website Builder

A tool that uses artificial intelligence to generate a complete website from a text description, without requiring the user to write code or choose templates. Ritsbo uses intent-based synthesis to create unique stores.

Auto Ordering

An automation that purchases products from a catalog within a configured monthly budget and delivers them to a store automatically. Ritsbo's auto ordering includes max item price caps and category preferences.

Auto Advertising

An automation that launches and manages ad campaigns across multiple channels (Facebook, Instagram, Google, TikTok) within a configured budget. Ritsbo charges a flat fee per campaign, not a percentage of ad spend.

Dynamic Pricing

A pricing strategy where prices adjust automatically based on supplier costs, market conditions, and margin rules. Ritsbo's pricing engine recalculates prices daily and enforces margin floors and ceilings.

Dropshipping

A retail fulfillment method where a store doesn't keep products in stock. When a customer places an order, the store purchases the item from a supplier who ships it directly to the customer.

Intent-Based Synthesis

A website generation approach that designs each site from scratch based on the user's intent (niche, brand name), rather than selecting from pre-made templates. Ensures every store is visually unique.

Multi-Channel E-Commerce

Selling products across multiple marketplaces (TikTok, Amazon, Walmart, eBay, Google Shopping, Facebook) from a single platform. Ritsbo generates product feeds in each marketplace's required format.

Product Feed

A structured file (CSV or XML) containing product data (title, price, image, description) formatted for a specific marketplace's requirements. Used to sync product catalogs with external platforms.

Price Protection

A daily automated process that re-prices products when supplier costs change, ensuring profit margins remain stable even as costs fluctuate.

Margin Enforcement

A system that flags products with margins below a minimum threshold or above a maximum cap (80%). Products above the cap due to vendor MAP floors are flagged for manual review.

AI Agent

A specialized AI assistant tuned for a specific business function (content, ads, social, sales, payments, analytics). Unlike a general chatbot, each agent has dedicated context, tools, and instructions.

AI SEO

Search engine optimization designed for AI answer engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews) in addition to traditional Google search. Uses structured data, factual content, and entity authority signals.

Schema Markup

Structured data (JSON-LD) added to web pages that helps search engines and AI systems understand the content's meaning. Types include Organization, SoftwareApplication, Product, FAQ, Article, Review, and Breadcrumb.

Stripe Connect

A Stripe product that enables platforms to facilitate payments on behalf of their users. Ritsbo uses Stripe Connect so store owners receive payments directly to their own accounts.

Trial Website

A fully functional website generated by Ritsbo during the free trial period. Includes all pages, products, and features — becomes permanent when the user subscribes.

Pre-Made Store

A ready-to-launch online store with products, branding, and pages already configured. Ritsbo offers pre-made stores across niches like fitness, beauty, fashion, tech, and home.

Digital Product Delivery

Instant delivery of digital products (ebooks, courses, guides) via secure download links immediately after payment. Includes download limits and expiry dates.

Marketplace Feed

A product catalog export formatted for a specific marketplace (Amazon, eBay, Google Shopping, Facebook, TikTok). Generated automatically from the Ritsbo product catalog.

AggregateRating

A schema.org structured data type that represents the average rating and review count for a product or business. Used in search results to display star ratings.

Breadcrumb Schema

Structured data that tells search engines the page's position in the site hierarchy. Helps with navigation and appears in search results as breadcrumb trails.

MAP Floor

Minimum Advertised Price — the lowest price a retailer is allowed to advertise a product for, set by the supplier or brand. Ritsbo respects MAP floors when calculating dynamic prices.

Conversion Rate Optimization

The practice of increasing the percentage of visitors who complete a desired action (purchase, signup). Ritsbo's AI agents continuously test and optimize checkout flows, product pages, and CTAs.

Abandoned Cart Recovery

Automated email or SMS sequences sent to customers who added items to their cart but didn't complete checkout. Ritsbo sends timed reminders with discount incentives.

Product Sourcing

The process of finding and selecting products to sell. Ritsbo automates sourcing through supplier integrations, AI product research, and auto-ordering within budget constraints.

Fulfillment

The process of packing and shipping an order to the customer. In dropshipping, fulfillment is handled by the supplier, not the store owner.

Long-Tail Keywords

Search queries with low individual search volume but high conversion intent. Ritsbo targets long-tail keywords through AI-generated content clusters.
